Hey friends and welcome back to my blog.

In celebration of the sequel to the 2013 film Frozen, I thought we would take a look back at the movie.

If you lived under a rock in 2013, Disney released a movie called Frozen about Princess Ana who journeys across icy mountains to talk to her sister (Queen Elsa )who accidentally turned their kingdom into an eternal winter. It has funny, heartfelt moments mixed with amazing musical numbers. You may have heard of a little Oscar-winning song called Let It Go.

Today we are talking about life lessons from the movie. If you focus hard enough, you can find life lessons in any movie. For example, I did another post on Life Lessons in Finding Dory another classic Disney movie.

The Life Lessons

  • There are many forms of love
  • Family is the most important thing
  • Embrace what makes you different
  • Think before acting
  • Let go of what people think of you
  • Learn to be fearless

Unlike most Disney movies, Frozen is all about family and sisterhood. Friends and lovers come and go but family will always be there for you. Ana journeys across frozen woods and mountains just to help a sister who shut her out for many years. Ana is fearless.

Elsa hides away from everyone including her sister because she fears her powers. Once she was able to embrace who she truly is and ignore what people think of her, she finally was able to let go and be herself.

People will not understand you until you allow yourself to show them who you really are. If they don't like you after that, then it really does not matter. Not everyone will like you or understand you. You will find people with whom you connect, once you let go.

There are many forms of love as Frozen shows us. There is sister love, family love, friendship love...

An act of true love thaws a frozen heart

In most movies, this "love" would be a couple love but Frozen dared to show us that "love" comes in many forms. Elsa cries which thaw Ana out of a frozen statue.

This brings us to the last life lesson "Think before acting". This I was going to put as "Don't rush into an engagement until you know the person" Ana rushes into being engaged to Hans whom she just met a few moments ago. Hans turns out to be the villain in the movie.

I know some people are lucky in love and can jump into being engaged to someone and everything works out. "Think before acting" works better as it can be applied to Elsa who froze the kingdom after knowing of Ana's engagement. Sure Elsa has no control over her powers but still. If both of them thought before acting then that whole "frozen kingdom" could have been avoided.

This brings me to the end of my post. These are just a few important life lessons that I found in Frozen.
What did you think of the movie? Did you notice any other life lessons? If you would like me to do more of these post then feel free to leave it in the comments.
