My First Interview Part 2

Hey hey hey. So on Tuesday I did part 1 of my interview read it here  with http://www.instagram.com/breath_words

I was just so intrigued with her answers that I went off script a little bit. These are the rest of the questions I asked her.

A big thank you to Ashle for taking the time to answer my questions and allow me to post them xx

Did you always want to be a writer??

Ashley= Growing up I wanted to be a lawyer, anthropologist, a pharmacists... but never a writer. Only recently have I seen myself putting something in a book

Favorite author and book.

Ashley=Oh that's a tough one. I'm a huge fan of paranormal books: The Hallows, Chicagoland Vampires and the Women of the Outerworld are my faves.

What do you wish to accomplish with your writing? Goals?

Ashley= I hope to get my work in a book someday soon. If for no one but myself, I'd like it to be in print

What would the genre of your future book? If you have even thought of any yet.

Ashley= I image it would be poetry. I can't imagine ever having the patience for anything else

Finish this sentence: I wish I knew how to______

Ashley= I wish I knew how to draw. And how to self publish. I want to be able to create my own art for my eventual book, but drawing/painting is not my forte. I'm working on it though

Got any tips for new writers?

Ashley= Stick with it. Not every piece you write is going to be amazing. And that's ok. Write what you feel. That's what is most important

Got any advise for younger Lupus suffers out there??

Ashley= Stay hopeful. You'll always have days where you literally feel like doing nothing. And that is ok. On those days, curl up and read a book or watch a movie or whatever you need. And then the next days, you get up and remind yourself that YOU ARE NOT YOUR ILLNESS.

It's the same advise I'd give someone struggling with anxiety or depression. I've been there too. It's important to know that you will have those bad days, but not everyday will be a bad day.

And if it ever gets so bad that you need a voice of reason, don't ever feel it shows weakness by reaching out. There are so many great helplines. There's even text services now http://www.crisistextline.org
